That's not dishonesty — it's just how commission-based advice works. The person giving you the answer gets paid differently depending on what you decide.

Osborn Consulting exists because I got tired of watching people make five- and six-figure decisions based on advice that wasn't built to be neutral.

I've spent 9+ years in the solar and battery industry, working directly with 668+ clients on $11M+ in energy solutions. I've also spent 4+ years as a Licensed Business Broker, profiling 320+ businesses. I've seen what good advice looks like — and I've seen how often it's shaped by who's paying the bill.

You pay me directly, for a clear answer — not a percentage of a sale, not a commission on a system size, not a success fee. Fixed fees, written delivery, no hourly billing. If a deal doesn't stack up, or a system doesn't make sense for your home, I'll tell you — because saying so doesn't cost me anything.

Osborn Consulting's advisory services are entirely separate — flat-fee, independent, and disclosed clearly wherever the two could be confused. You'll always know which hat I'm wearing.
